Mrs Sarah Scrope DL
Sarah has lived near Chilton Foliat on the western edge of Berkshire all her life. She runs and manages the Chilton Estate. The Chilton Estate is a busy, traditional agricultural enterprise which has been in Sarah’s family since 1908. As well as growing arable crops and managing woodland, the estate has a strong emphasis on conservation and sporting activities. There is a fishing business at Chilton which Sarah especially enjoys, as she is a keen fly-fisherman. In 2010, she was President of the Newbury and District Agricultural Society, and The Royal County of Berkshire Show.
Sarah served as High Sheriff of The Royal County of Berkshire 2017 - 2018. She has been a Governor of three Berkshire schools over the past twenty years. She is a Trustee of the Greenham Trust which supports local charities and organisations for the benefit of people in West Berkshire and North Hampshire.
With a degree in music and a keen interest in it, Sarah sings in a local choir.
