Sean Taylor lived and was educated in Berkshire before attending King’s College, University of London, where he obtained a BEng Hons degree in Computer Science and Electronics. After beginning his career working for an IT company in Bracknell, Berkshire he moved to its HQ in Silicon Valley. He moved back to Berkshire in the mid-1990s to co-found software companies Redwood Technologies Group and later Content Guru, which provides mission-critical customer experience solutions for large enterprises and governments. With offices in Europe, the Americas and Asia Pac, at a local level the company is proud to employ hundreds of colleagues in Berkshire. In 2016 Content Guru was awarded a Queen’s Award for Enterprise: Innovation.

Sean has supported local charities and voluntary groups both personally and through his businesses since the 1990s. He is a Vice President and Vice Chair of Berkshire Community Foundation (BCF) and in 2012 with BCF co-founded the Business Philanthropy Club, which links local businesses with good causes. He has been President of Bracknell Athletics Club since 2013. Sean is Chair of the Pride of Bracknell Forest Awards, which celebrate outstanding achievements in the borough for voluntary work, sport, education and business. His businesses also support national and international causes such as The Soldiering On Awards and WWF.

Outside work and voluntary activities Sean enjoys travelling, clay pigeon shooting and is an occasional opera-goer. He is married to Jo and they have two children.
