Dr Stefan Fafinski DL

Stefan Fafinski is a senior public lawyer and Parole Board Chair, exercising judicial decision-making responsibility in some of the most sensitive areas of public protection and prison law.

He has undertaken sustained voluntary service across the charity, education and justice sectors. Stefan is Chair of Prior’s Court Foundation in West Berkshire, a national centre of excellence providing education and residential care for autistic young people with complex needs, and Chair of The Inside Out Trust, which provides practical support to individuals under Probation Service supervision. He previously served a seven-year term as Chair of the WCIT Charity, advancing digital inclusion, education and technology for social good across the UK.

In 2025, Stefan was appointed to the Community and Voluntary Service Honours Committee, contributing to the independent national process through which honours are recommended for exceptional voluntary and community service. A Past Master of the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists and a Freeman of the City of London, he maintains strong civic, charitable and judicial links across Berkshire and the City.
