The Lord-Lieutenant, Mr Andrew Try, was delighted to present the Royal County of Berkshire Lord-Lieutenant Awards at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, in an evening that celebrated outstanding service and dedication across the community.
The annual ceremony, organised by the South East Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ Association (SERFCA), recognised the achievements of Reservists, Cadet Force Adult Volunteers, and members of the Cadet Forces from across Berkshire.
During the evening, the Lord-Lieutenant presented Mrs Anne Thorpe with the British Empire Medal (BEM), awarded in His Majesty The King’s Birthday Honours List for her services to accessibility at airports for disabled travellers.
The Lord-Lieutenant also appointed his Lord-Lieutenant Cadets for 2025–26, who will assist him at civic and ceremonial events throughout the year:
