His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the Royal County of Berkshire, Andrew Try, was delighted to attend Reading School’s Commemoration Day joining pupils, staff and guests in welcoming His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh KG KT GCVO to celebrate the School’s 900th anniversary.
The Duke met pupils involved in Future Stories – a long-running Reading School outreach programme supporting local primary school children to raise aspirations, build confidence and access high-quality learning. His Royal Highness’ engagement highlighted the importance of education, opportunity and community enrichment for young people across Berkshire.
The visit concluded with a Service of Commemoration attended by students, governors, civic leaders and invited guests.
