Slough was in full bloom as residents, schools, and businesses came together for the annual Slough in Bloom awards.
Despite the unpredictable weather, the competition once again transformed the borough with vibrant displays of colour and creativity. This year’s ceremony carried particular significance with the introduction of the Margaret Inniss Award for Blooming Excellence, a tribute to the founder of Slough in Bloom who gave more than three decades of tireless service to the community.
The inaugural award was presented to Simon Richardson, recognising his outstanding contribution. The Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Berkshire, Graham Barker MStJ, joined the Mayor of Slough, Councillor Siobhan Dauti, to present awards to gold-winning entrants, sharing in a celebration of community pride and creativity that has been nurtured over 31 years.
