The Lord-Lieutenant of Berkshire, members of the Berkshire Lieutenancy and invited guests from across Berkshire and Surrey attended the annual Berkshire and Surrey South East RFCA Armed Forces Briefing at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.

The briefing provides an important opportunity for civic, military and community representatives to hear about current developments in defence across our region. This year’s session focused on the Armed Forces’ operational commitments and the Strategic Defence Review, offering timely insight into the national defence context and its local and regional implications.

The event also underlined the continuing importance of close links between the Armed Forces, the Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ Association, the Lieutenancies of Berkshire and Surrey, and the wider communities they serve.
