The Lord-Lieutenant was pleased to attend Berkshire’s Judicial Service at Reading Minster.
This Service is an ancient tradition and marks the start of the Judicial Year for those who work in the administration of justice and associated charities across the county.
Organised by Berkshire’s High Sheriff, the Service was attended by civic dignitaries from across the county (including the High Sheriffs of Buckinghamshire, Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire and Bedfordshire, together with Lady Sharp DBE, President of the King’s Bench Division of the High Court, Lady Justice Andrews DBE from the Court of Appeal and HH Judge Norton of Reading Crown Court) who processed from Reading’s Civic Centre. There was also a large number of invited guests from the voluntary sector across the Royal County.
Thames Valley’s Mini Police formed a guard of honour for all those attending.
