The Lord-Lieutenant presented Meritorious Service Certificates at an event organised by SERFCA, held at the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst on Tuesday 15 October. 

These Certificates are awarded to those members of the Reserve and Cadets Forces not recognised by annual Honours Lists. The Lord-Lieutenant Certificates rank second to The King’s Honours Lists. 

Also at this event, the Lord-Lieutenant welcomes his four new Cadets who, over the next 12 months, will accompany him at various events. Being appointed a Lord-Lieutenant’s Cadet marks the achievement of outstanding service by an individual to their cadet movement. 

The Lord-Lieutenant’s cadets for 2024-25 are:

• Cadet Flight Sergeant Sudiksha Dixit, Reading School Combined Cadet Force
• Able Cadet Alisdair Shankland, Training Ship Victory, Newbury Sea Cadets
• Cadet Staff Sergeant Jonathan Opoku-Anokye, 8 Platoon Reading, C Company, Royal Berkshire Army Cadet Force and 
• Cadet Flight Sergeant Samuel Bromham, 459 (Windsor) Squadron, Thames Valley Wing Royal Air Force.
