The Lord-Lieutenant presented certificates to 14 voluntary organisations from across Berkshire to recognise their achievement in being nominated for the King’s Award for Voluntary Service 2024.
These groups are currently being considered for the Award. The results will be announced on The King’s birthday on 14 November.
Voluntary groups nominated for this year’s Awards are Caversham Trents FC, Cianna’s Smile, CLASP, Crowthorne Good Neighbours, Freely Fruity, Knit Your Socks Off, Loose Ends Newbury, Newbury Riding for the Disabled Ltd, Newbury Street Pastors, Old Windsor Carnival Committee, Soulscape, Swings & Smiles, The Baby Bank and the Thursday Hub (Pangbourne Dementia Friends).

The Lord-Lieutenant was assisted by Lord-Lieutenant’s cadets Petty Officer Cadet Daisy Ashley from the Windsor & Eton Sea Cadets and Cadet Flight Sergeant Cassie Griffin from 381 (Reading) Squadron ATC.
